Greetings, I hope this message hasn't already been answered. I've searched the lists and Googled for the errors, but haven't been able to find a solution or workaround for the problem we are experiencing.
We are mapping three AFS drives at user login and are experiencing a problem where the drive(s) are not mounting. The problem only happens intermittently and not always on the same machine. The number of drives that fail to mount also is not consistent. Sometimes one drive will mount successfully and two will fail, sometimes two will mount successfully and one will fail. We've tried mounting the drives through the net use command and get the following error: "The network path was not found". We are running version 1.5.74 of the OpenAFS client on Windows XP SP3 and have applied the Microsoft Hotfixes mentioned on the openafs.org webpage (KB955535, KB954956, KB971421) Below is the log file: 7/16/2010 11:06:53 AM: SERVICE_CONTROL_APMRESUMEAUTOMATIC 7/16/2010 11:06:56 AM: SERVICE_CONTROL_APMRESUMESUSPEND 7/16/2010 11:06:57 AM: smb_LanAdapterChange 7/16/2010 11:06:57 AM: NCBLISTEN lana=3 failed with NRC_BRIDGE, retrying ... 7/16/2010 11:06:57 AM: NCBLISTEN lana=3 failed with NRC_NOWILD, retrying ... 7/16/2010 11:07:11 AM: smb_LanAdapterChange 7/16/2010 11:07:11 AM: NCBLISTEN lana=3 failed with NRC_BRIDGE, retrying ... 7/16/2010 11:07:11 AM: NCBLISTEN lana=3 failed with NRC_NOWILD, retrying ... 7/16/2010 11:07:23 AM: Mountpoint[0] = msu.edu#msu.edu:root.cell. 7/16/2010 11:07:23 AM: Mountpoint[1] = .msu.edu%msu.edu:root.cell. 7/16/2010 11:07:23 AM: Mountpoint[2] = .root%msu.edu:root.afs. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to workaround this problem? My apologies if this has been resolved in an earlier post.
