Greetings OpenAFS Wise People,
We have a situation where users ssh'ing into Linux servers configured to
password-authenticate via kerberos to our Institution face a long delay -
30 sec or 1 min or thereabouts - if the server runs afs.
If it doesn't run afs, or if they authenticate via ssh keys, ssh login is
instant.
Where can one look for why the delay when afs is running?
Pointers to past relevant threads welcome.
I've taken a look at the last few months of openafs mailing lists
but didn't see a relevant thread; google a bit also no info.
Clients are 64-bit ScientificLinux 5.5 with installed:
openafs-1.4.12-79.sl5.x86_64.rpm
openafs-client-1.4.12-79.sl5.x86_64.rpm
openafs-krb5-1.4.12-79.sl5.x86_64.rpm
and kernel-module-openafs-`uname -r`
