One of the discoveries of the Edinburgh Hackathon was that whilst rxosd has mirroring, it doesn't have any mechanism for keeping the mirrors in sync. This means that if a single OSD goes offline from a mirror, when it comes back up you have data consistency problems. As there is no data version stored on the OSDs, recovering from this is hard, as you don't know which OSDs have the 'correct' data, and which have out-of-date data.
