Sadly, there are loads of situations where the client CellServDB is vital. There are far too many SOHO broadband routers that come with DNS servers that silently drop DNS SRV requests. If you are supporting a mobile userbase, you pretty much have to provide them with static configuration, both for AFS, and for Kerberos.
