The way you change the IP address of a file server is to 1. shutdown the fileserver service 2. change the IP address of the host 3. if necessary modify NetInfo and NetRestrict files 4. restart the fileserver service The file server registers its IP address with the VLDB at startup. Jeffrey Altman
