OpenAFS does not have libraries with stable ABIs. As a result scout and afsmonitor use what must be considered to be private interfaces. scout for example has dependencies on LWP, cmd, hostutil, fsprobe, and more. afsmonitor has fewer dependencies but the same issues are present. Jeffrey Altman
