Duh .. that's what's been killing me, the packages are starting all of the services before they've been initialized!

Key management is an area that has changed from OpenAFS 1.6 and OpenAFS 1.8 went in a different direction than AuriStorFS so I'm not entirely sure. Jeffrey Altman
