*Ages* ago I used 'afsdump_extract' from http://grand.central.org/dl/software/dumpscan/ to pull files out of an AFS dump. But it just extracts to a local filesystem, no conversion. And I have no idea if the dump format has changed since 2006. I've also used http://docs.openafs.org/Reference/1/restorevol.html before, but, again, it just unpacks a dump file to local disk. That said, the AFS dump format isn't *too* hard to decipher. The hardest part, actually, is the AFS directory file format. https://kula.tproa.net/talks/afskbpw2009/kula-afs-dumps-2009.pdf is from when I last really was playing around with AFS dumps in any solid way other than doing regular backups. -- Thomas L.
