Hello every1,

a (maybe) minor problem I'm getting with OpenAFS and I'm quite lost, what to
do. Given are 2 nodes running OpenAFS 1.8.2 on a Linux system.
Both nodes have several partitions, all of them are mounted from an underlying
LVM volume. Lately I've resized on of the LVM partitions, resized the
filesystem and since then "vos release" won't do it anymore.
Example:

--- SNIP ---
root.afs
    RWrite: 536870915     ROnly: 536870916
    number of sites -> 2
       server server1.mydomain.dmz partition /vicepa RW Site
       server server2.mydomain.dmz partition /vicepa RO Site

root.progs
    RWrite: 536870921
    number of sites -> 2
       server server1.mydomain.dmz partition /vicepc RW Site
       server server2.mydomain.dmz partition /vicepc RO Site

root.vids
    RWrite: 536870938
    number of sites -> 2
       server server1.mydomain.dmz partition /vicepf RW Site
       server server2.mydomain.dmz partition /vicepf RO Site -- Not released
--- SNIP ---

Doing a "vos release" for "root.vids", I get:

--- SNIP ---
Failed to clone the volume 536870938
Volume not attached, does not exist, or not on line
Error in vos release command.
Volume not attached, does not exist, or not on line
--- SNIP ---

While it works for all other volumes without any problem. I've already removed
"server2" and added it again, though without any change.
A vos examine for the volume shows:

--- SNIP ---
root.vids                         536870938 RW  311830461 K  On-line
    server1.mydomain.dmz /vicepf
    RWrite  536870938 ROnly  536870939 Backup          0
    MaxQuota          0 K
    Creation    Sun Sep 27 21:42:26 2015
    Copy        Sun Sep 27 21:42:26 2015
    Backup      Never
    Last Access Mon Aug  5 22:27:59 2019
    Last Update Mon Aug  5 17:30:24 2019
    95076 accesses in the past day (i.e., vnode references)

    RWrite: 536870938
    number of sites -> 2
       server server1.mydomain.dmz partition /vicepf RW Site
       server server2.mydomain.wdmz partition /vicepf RO Site -- Not released
--- SNIP ---

I can successfully access the data through the client, though the release
process fails for this volume. A "bos salvage" has been run already,
additionally a "vos synvldb" / "vos synserv" without any luck.

Might be I did something very wrong while resizing the underlying LVM volume,
which was of course done at both nodes.

Anything I can do to get the problem solved and let the sync working again ?

Thanks in advance,
Tommy
