Is it necessary to use only High end Cisco switches for supporting multicasting.We use D-Link switch in our college.It is an unmanaged switch and supports IGMP Protocol.Can it be configured to support multicast.If it is not configure to be multicast switch ,does it give cluster members after running testclm Program.

You can return a list of nodes in the cluster by running the testclm2
tool in the test directory. I believe this prints out the current
processor list.
You can start aisexec either directly by running /sbin/aisexec or by
using the openais init script.
Configuring your switch for multicast is tricky. I suggest you contact
your switch vendor for more information there, since I have no idea what
brand/model of switch you have and even if I had this information
probably couldn't help you.
If you have a cisco switch you might try after contacting cisco TAC
