AMF is not stable in any stable version of our software. It is experimental. In the current stable version of whitetank, AMF is barely usable. In trunk, it is currently broken, but with a little work would function like what you see with 0.83. We are targeting May 15th for 1.0 of Corosync (the engine that openais now plugs into) and June 1 for 1.0 of OpenAIS.
