I agree with you ifdown/ifup is not a valid test method. But the same problem happens when I reboot one of nodes. By this way, it's a little harder to reproduce it, but it happens. We have a very aggressive test plain. And we found openais dies suddenly when rebooting one of nodes or ifup/ifdown one of interfaces. When it dies, usually syslog prints up to "got nodejoin ......" message. So it seems openais dies when node joins. Thanks
