Hello,

We are facing an issue with OpenAis when Server (aisexec) and Client are
running  different users.

In our context,
The server OpenAis (aisexec) is started as ocadmin user
Some client are running as ocdamin user
But some others clients are running as root user (for these clients the
connection is failing)

Currently in openais.conf file, the aiexec section is configured as follow :
aisexec {
        group: ocadmin
}

In man pages of openais.conf and openais_overview, we don't find any
information regarding aisexec configuration section.

If there is some configuration syntax by which we can add multiple users/group
or whether root can be allowed to access?

FYI, we are using only evs service from OpenAis.

Thank you
Best regards

Martine

Hello Martine,

You are right. The service is allowed only to the group which is configured i.e
ocadmin. May be you can check with openais community, if there is some
configuration by which you can add multiple users/group or whether root can be
allowed to access?

Regards
Ramesh

Subject: OCMP/openais issue

Hello Ramesh,

We are facing an issue with integration of openais in OCMP.
OpenAis server(aisexec) is starting by ALM as ocadmin user
OCMP is starting as root user and runs NTF client as root user

Communication between OCMP/NTF client (root) and OpenAis (ocadmin) failed
because it's not the same user between the client and server.

Do you know if there is a limitation in OpenAis, that all OpenAis Client must
be run as the same user as the OpenAis ?

Thank you
Best regards

Martine
