Hi,

i have a couple of newbie questions on Corosync, hope that's OK:

i. What is the difference between EVS and GPG? Their client APIs are
almost identical. CPG has the zero-copy stuff, and EVS seems to
require a quorum, but i can't find any other difference. Yet they seem
not to share any code, and CPG has significantly more code than EVS.

ii. Is there some infrastructure available to facilitate the initial
sync of the distributed state when a new member joins a process group.
If not a pointer to some tutorial would be great. Unless i'm missing
something, i understand that this functionality would be required by
almost every application built on top of EVS or GPG, correct?

PS: The link to the mailing list on
http://www.corosync.org/doku.php?id=support seems to be out of date,
as it refers to a list at osdl.org instead of linux-foundation.org

Thanks,
Geert
