I have heard of this before - I think you have a missing package
you need to install.

Something like:
apt-get install pkgconfig pkgconfig-dev

Note if you install from tarball it includes the configure script and you
don't need to run ./autogen.sh
ftp://ftp:[email protected]/downloads/corosync-1.3.0/corosync-1.3.0.tar.gz
