I was following this thread and thinking it would be great to get the automated builds up and running. That way everyone can see the weird failures on other platforms, along with some of the stuff that really builds even though you would swear it should not! I think a dash board for Linux, Mac and Windows with an automatic nightly build would be a great start.
This weekend was in large part dominated by reinstalling my main development system at home, but next weekend I should be in a position to dedicate some time to OpenBabel trunk and its build system. As it happens I am reviewing the new edition of the CMake book, and so am extra fresh on CMake and all of its features. I have also been working on VTK and discovering the joys of feedback from dash boards. I will also be back on IRC amd IM more often. I have been monitoring the mailing lists, just not replied to stuff that was not directed towards me.
