IIRC, I made some changes to make format loading work with
mingw/cygwin. I didn't test the release though. Automated builds could
certainly prevent this. I currently don't have any system for nightly
builds. However, I'd be more than happy to ensure this works once we
have automated builds for mingw or cygwin.
