I guess as the "ringleader" of this operation, I'm going to try to push for a target date for the v2.3.0 release. I think we've made *tremendous* progress over the last few weeks in swatting a lot of bugs.
My suggestion is that we target 10/23 ("Mole Day") for a release. This has a few benefits -- we have 10 days to fix up remaining bugs, build system fixes, documentation, etc. The release will also be over the weekend, which means that there's time for packages for Mac and Windows to be made before people download on Monday. So let's set a target for "freezing" on Thursday 10/21. Sound OK? I've started to put release documentation here -- please edit and add features or notable bug fixes, etc.: http://openbabel.org/wiki/Open_Babel_2.3.0 Thanks for all the hard work, this is shaping up to be a blockbuster release, -Geoff ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Beautiful is writing same markup.
