Hi Andri, If I understand you correctly, you have no other installation of Open Babel on your computer system apart from the one installed through YaST, and that one is not working correctly.
The Open Babel bundled with the various Linux distributions is prepared by volunteers at SuSE, Debian, Fedora, etc. So in this case, you need to contact the good people over at SuSE Linux and file a bug with them. I've changed the subject line of the email to include the word SuSE - perhaps the maintainer will read this message. (Here I insert my usual plea for downstream maintainers to provide us with their name, contact details, name of package in their package manager, info on how to install it, place to file bugs, etc.) - Noel On 21 September 2010 10:46, user.name <[email protected]> wrote: > > Dear Babel User, > Recently i installed babel through yast (SuSe 11.3), > however i got similar problem like the one posted in this thread before. > > When i give "sudo babel -H" it prints all the file formats > > ".... > The following file formats are recognized: > acr -- ACR format [Read-only] > .......... > .......... > zin -- ZINDO input format [Write-only] > See further specific info and options using -H<format-type>, e.g. -Hcml" > > However "babel -H" (non-root user mode) i don't get file formats, and > hence could'nt able to convert files.
