And there are a *lot* of Qt users for Open Babel. At one point there was a Qt GUI. http://kopenbabel.sourceforge.net I don't know if it's maintained (the website looks old) but I might use it in Avogadro. Previously I used SVG support and Qt WebKit to do something similar. I agree with Noel. Either fork Open Babel on GitHub or fork the "contributed" repository so we can feature it there.
