So actually, Anthony, Josh's receommendation just gets jetty to run as a service on a windows box, but the mapping to the CFX and other areas was still not correct... until you figured it all out.
I made the changes to jetty.xml, webdefault.xml and bluedragon.xml, and all of my CFX and other functionality now work fine. Like you, I now know more than I probably ever wanted to about relative paths in xml/java/windows/unix/jetty than I ever wanted to. Thanks so much for sleuthing it all out, I really appreciate it. I would be happy to also contribute what I learned on the wiki - the most telling way for me to describe the changes is to do a Beyond Compare on the clean bundle download XML files and the files that eventually worked on the windows XP Pro set up. I will test this out tonight on a VISTA Home Premium, and then tomorrow on a Windows 2003 server. Thanks again to everyone, much mahalos.
