I just wiped the VM and did a fresh install of CentOS 5.2 with SELinux
enabled, and no firewall modifications (except port 80 during the install).

I then set up a test hello world script in apache's default web
directory (var/www/html) and set up the server.xml file to point
localhost.localdomain there.

Tomcat/OpenBD came up without so much as a hickup and I hit my hello
world cfm file right away.

So... I guess I need more information here.

1) Have you tried starting tomcat with NO modifications to the
server.cml file? What happens then?

2) How are you attempting to start OpenBD/Tomcat? What commands are you
using? What user are you logged into when you run that command?

Thanks folks.
