Just for your info, Pabro Varando on 1st January 2009 will running
again his Free ColdFusion Hosting (http://
www.freecoldfusionhosting.com/). He have done this before with CFM-
Resources in 2000. I think, now he will do the best after his
adventure in CFM-Resources. But there is no statement, what CF server
he use.

He write on his blog: "I have completed the installation and
configuration of the server farm; now I am finalizing and finishing up
the control panel and the auto scripts that will create your accounts
on the fly. Everything is looking good right now for a January 1st
launch."

QA (http://co.ldfusion.com/index.cfm/2008/12/10/Free-ColdFusion-
Hosting-Update):

* Q. Is it your intention that this service is to be used by
developers as a dev platform, or for more general, production
purposes?
* A. The intent behind this will be for production ready sites only; I
am throwing around the idea of having a developer sandbox environment
(around Februrary or so) that will allow you to have a second (or
first; depending on your needs) account that will be used only for
testing code and will not require uptime for sites. More on this
later.

* Q. Are there mandatory ads or any other limitations?
* A. Yes, there will be advertisements required on your sites. However
initially I will go on the honor system. (If people don't place the
ads; I will incorporate a ServletFilter (already created) that will
override your content on the way out and insert the ads for you) On
your control panel you will have the code you need to put on your
sites dependong on the sized banner you wish to display. There will be
three sizes:
          o 468x60 - Defauilt Banners
          o 120x600 Skyscraper banners
o 200x200 - Small quare banners (usually embdedded within
content)
Note: That eventually; the idea will be for us to track what banners
you've shown and then track the click-trhoughts so we can have revenue
sharing. So at that point we will pay you to host your site with us.
But that will come 3-6 months after launch.

* Q. is this too good to be true?
* A. No, it's true. I've done this before with CFM-Resources in 2000;
and will do it again in 2009 with Free ColdFusion Hosting.
