oops, as i'm pretty new to this topic, i didn't know, that it's that important 
to have a verification query...
i tried that before with a simple SQL-Statement like 
"Select * from <tableWithNotMuchContentinside>". Let's give the now()
function a try - Access should understand that, i guess;).


Al,

i'll give that a try too - a soon as i have a posssibility to use MS-Access.
but as far as i remember, the database i have to deal with isn't that 
complicated or consists of some very special and funky MS specific datatypes.
We will see... tomorrow, i think.
