Sean, just to let you know where we are with this.

The empty prefix is something we could support, but the problem we hit 
was that, you had to provide an implementation for *every* tag it 
encountered otherwise it would say "tag not found".

This isn't ideal I appreciate.   We've got a number of other things on 
the list to do, but we'll take a swing back at this very soon.

If you want to open up a bug ticket for it so it doesn't fall off the 
radar then feel free to do so.
