i'm glad theres support on this, i was afraid we'd hit the file IO
wall with AppEngine. i tried this the first day they announced java
support but was unable to create temp files (for compiled cfml
templates?)

i'd offer one of my appengine spots for this but i guess even if you
have an existing gae account you have to have java 'enabled' or a new
account created just for java? if we end up with 20 application spots
(10 for existing python apps and 10 more for java, that wouldn't be
too bad i guess)
