Hi Alan,
Yes it seems to connect, I just can't get the syntax to return a
result via the SQL statement.  I have tried a named range and the
sheet names, both with the same result.  I thought from Paul's
response that I could get a dump of the entire sheet with the "-1".
The brackets and the $ are required for Excel SQL statements (at least
according to my googling on the web).
