Hi, I guess you are already pointing to the latest Java 1.6 release as far I can tell. The only thing that I made different is that I set the JRE_HOME only. I wrote about it here: http://thenitai.com/2009/08/01/setting-the-correct-java-version-under-macos-x/.
Furthermore you might want to set the PermGen memory limit as well.
