As I mention on that page, I went through several iterations of things so PLEASE let me know if there are any inaccuracies, things need to be clarified, etc. or feel free to correct mistakes directly on the wiki (yes, it's publicly editable!).
Hope that helps some folks. My next step is to look into returning query objects directly to Flex, which I don't think will be too difficult to add to the OpenBD adapter.
