Okay.
I'd recommend setting up a CentOS 64-bit account then. 64-bit will
enable you to make more effecient use of your memory.
Once you have the account set up, SSH to the account and switch to the
"root" user. If you want to use Apache as your primary web server (I'd
recommend it), make sure Apache is installed.
# yum install httpd
You will generally get a "package already installed" message.
There are Linux installers available for OpenBD here:
http://openbd.viviotech.net/
Grab the latest 64-bit installer with the "wget" command:
# wget
http://openbd.viviotech.net/downloader.cfm/id/103/file/openbd-1.3-pl0-linux-x64-installer.bin
Change it's permissions so that it's executable:
# chmod 744 openbd-1.3-pl0-linux-x64-installer.bin
Then run it:
# ./openbd-1.3-pl0-linux-x64-installer.bin
The defaults should all be set for CentOS, and it auto-detects most
system parameters; so you should just be able to hit "enter" and watch
it install.
After it's installed, check out the "Getting Started" documentation here:
http://wiki.openbluedragon.org/wiki/index.php/Getting_Started_(OBD_Installer)#OpenBD_Installer_on_Linux
This should be able to get you past the "getting it installed" bit. If
you have any questions at all after it's installed, please don't
hesitate to ask. =)

Heh, it's okay. Have you been using SSH to try these installs?
If you're familiar with how to SSH in to your server and do a little
text file editing, you will be able to get OpenBD installed and manage
it yourself with no outside help.
Let me know if you're good with SSH and a little text file editing and
we'll go from there.

Hi Glenn,
How were you trying to install it? Generally a fresh install on a fresh
system using the Linux installers takes a grand total of 10 minutes or so.
What part is failing?

Ive tried around about 10 times installing OpenBD on various Linux
distros and keep failing. If i gave some root access to my VPS Server,
would someone install it for me.. Im building an online stratergy game
similar to tribalwars and Grepolis, as my kids love playing them. All
i need is a webserver running cfml and mysql..
i have the choice of the following Linux distros.
Centos 5 32/64
Debian5
Slackware 12
Ubuntu 10.04
Ubuntu 9.04
