Hi Alan, I work at a web hosting company. It's a pretty serious operation. We host woot.com, and our clients include a foreign government who hosts their entire fleet of systems with us.
We've really been working on some simple, basic virtual server offerings. Our site for it is www.vServerCenter.com I was wondering if maybe we could work with OpenBD to create a R2R virtual server image so that we could actually sell a bundled virtual server that we can just turn on, change IP and hostname, and turn the server over to the customer. What says you? I can even offer $1 30 day trials, so anybody looking to try OpenBD could basically rent a dedicated virtual server with 1GB of ram, 5Mbps unmetered bandwidth (good bandwidth too), and 20GB of HDD space, ready to run with the OpenBD stack installed installed. Basically, create one master vm, and keep duping the image for new customers. The reason I ask is the company owner is looking for packages like this to deploy, rather than just offering bare bones vm's. -Jason -- Open BlueDragon Public Mailing List http://www.openbluedragon.org/ http://twitter.com/OpenBlueDragon online manual: http://www.openbluedragon.org/manual/ mailing list - http://groups.google.com/group/openbd?hl=en
