Zac, I think this is a very relevant question. A member of my CFUG just went to work for a name hosting company. I discussed with him the idea of him promoting an open source CFML distribution at his new company.
He said if Fantastico, an automated installer component of cPanel, supported say OpenBD that a lot of hosts would jump on adding CF. I found out that the company is at least talking about supporting ColdFusion: http://forums.cpanel.net/f209/cold-fusion-support-135589.html I am wondering if there is anything that can be done to speed support on cPanel's end? Perhaps a formal offer of assistance?
