Beyond that it really is up to you to pick the tools you think work best for
you. I love Eclipse and absolutely detest Dreamweaver but I never do
anything with visual views of anything, so if you work differently you may
want different tools.

At a minimum for ease of deployment to GAE you'll want to get familiar
enough with Eclipse that you can at least use that piece of it. Not to
mention being able to run and test your app from within Eclipse. If you
point DW to the same files I suppose you could do the visual stuff with DW
if you so choose.
