I finally got a chance to drop ckfinder into a basic OpenBD install tonight
and it works fine. I didn't do anything with integrating it into ckeditor,
but did you get ckfinder working on its own?

For testing I just went into the config.cfm file and had the authentication
method return true (meaning no login required) and once I did that it just
worked.
