Basically yes. Although personally I dislike the Json date format.
To override it you can do a ToString() which will force it not to be a 'date' object -- http://alan.blog-city.com/ -----Original Message----- From: Rob <[email protected]> Sender: [email protected] Date: Wed, 9 Mar 2011 16:11:54 To: Open BlueDragon<[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] Subject: [OpenBD] CFFUNCTION - Date Formatting in JSON/WDDX returnformat? Aloha All, I am returning data via a web service, and I have some unexpected formatting applied to the dates when the returnformat changes. In the database table viewed with SQL Management Studio: SQL Server 2008R2 - 2010-01-01 00:00:00.000 Returned through normal CFQUERY on a CFM page - 2010-01-01 00:00:00.000 Returned via JSON from web service call - "January, 1 2010 00:00:00" Returned via WDDX returnformat from web service call - <field name='DOC'><dateTime>2010-1-1T0:0:0-10:0</dateTime></field> Is this the expected behavior? I want to get the actual database value, and then apply my date/time mask to the raw value, rather than the engine formatting for me. Side note - the documentation reflects the returnformat option of "XML" which throws an error. I just installed the nightly build from last night to see if that was the issue.
