Stephen,

Thanks a lot for standing up for my unanswered question(s) - lol! I
hate that too but I do have to say that I always feel like I am
personal friends with these guys, especially Alan. My questions are
usually answered so quick by Alan (or others) that I feel like I have
an elite support contract.

I know Alan had to be very busy or something. Actually I cannot
believe how he accomplishes all of the things that he does in a single
day. I am truly grateful for what these guys are doing for no money
out of my pocket - It feels like they are sowing into my dreams;) I am
working on a dream project and I feel good that they are so
supportive. The openBD product is the perfect cfml engine to scale and
work with the best of the best cloud providers, etc.

ACF - too expensive amongst other things for me right now.
Railo - charges for their clustering plugins/add-ons
OpenBD - super-innovative trail-blazers, 100% free, built to scale in
every possible manner.

I don't mind the periodic bugs - it's a tradeoff for -constant-
accelerated innovative execution. These guys are Nuts! Who else made
cf local dev so easy with such an easy desktop app????

I wish someone "who -actually- keeps up with the other 2 cfml engines"
would actually create an UPDATED comparison of the 3 engines between
capability, scalability, cost and support. That way it would be easier
to sell it to, for example, my employer who is trying openBD but
leaning more toward Railo. I'm still pushing for them to go with
OpenBD for all of the ACF apps.

In addition, what would be nice is if the community would be allowed
to vote, rate & review for their favorite engine and also some type of
CNET-type editor's choice review done by one or more unbiased 3rd
party experts. But then again some of these 3rd party "so called"
experts have said some very ignorant things about cf in general in the
past.

Oh well, still waiting on my friggin answer!!!!!

Just kidding - I'm sure it's just a buglet!

And... Stephen, it's exactly people like you who are a part of this
community that makes the difference in standing up to get questions
answered (even if it's not your own)! Thanks to you and the rest of
the OpenBD community!!!
