Alan;

I've replaced the 1.4 /bluedragon/ & /WEB-INF/lib/ directory contents with those of yesterday's build & restarted Tomcat. I have not seen any of these PostgreSQL errors since: "The datasource could not be found or was invalid" (Or any of the cffile open errors that showed up occasionally as well.) Does 1.5 have a newer Postgres driver than 1.4?

This is not all that conclusive, as the site's volume has dropped off - and will not pick up again until next month's event.

However, the application has frozen up again tonight (so mtbf ~20 hrs), and still cranking out thousands of lines ie "25/08/11 21:33.25: java.lang.NullPointerException" in the cfquerybatch directory logs. 250 Mb more of them since yesterday's upgrade.

I wonder if I should still be posting this part under a new subject. The symptom seems similar to this thread (and perhaps unrelated to the database or driver): http://groups.google.com/group/openbd/browse_thread/thread/098d46e5aa7e3140

In that thread, Andy Wu says he put in a fix 3 years ago. Perhaps it was removed in error since?

aaah ... okay, can you try 1.5 for us please?

this is the release that will be flipped very soon to "2.0" and released. we are just doing the last few bugs that have been reported.

 No. This is 1.4

Here's a quote from earlier in this thread:
