There's a lively discussion on the LinkedIn Flex group now, regarding all the new tools - like phonegap - one can use instead of - or in addition to - MXML & ActionScript (Flex) to deploy pseudo-native applications. Many I've never heard of.

Most folks already know that one can use the (now Apache) Flex framework to compile Flash apps. Not as many know that you can also use Flex compilers for Android, iOS, Windows and other mobile app products as well. This can reduce your rewrite time a bit.

But to answer Jason's question, Alex hit the point. As long as your app has already separated the presentation layer from the business logic (often made easier via some framework like Mach II or FW1), you should be able to plug in new devices fairly easily. They all tend to get and put their data via common methods that OpenBD supports, like XML, SOAP, BlazeDS, etc.

(snip) I showed it to the company and they loved it, but then wanted an iPhone version. Here we go again!
