Hey All, I just downloaded OpenBD.Local to give it a while. This is awesome! Thanks!
I have a couple apps that I made for work that currently run on the Ready To Run version and it would be really nice to have them run as a "stand alone" app for other users who aren't familiar with running a "webserver". I did come up with a couple of suggestions that would be very helpful. A little background. In my case, I could be running multiple versions of OpenBD.Local on the same computer. I've tried running multiple versions on different ports and it seems to be just great so that isn't a concern. The main thing is seperating which app is which. With that said, here we go! 1) The ability to change the icon. This would be great to make the app a little more customized to the particular application it is running and in my case, at a glance know which apps are running and which ones aren't. 2) When you double click the icon, have it automatically open the app. This would be great so you don't have to rely on right clicking and choosing open. Just helping the world be lazy, I mean efficient. ;) 3) A list and directions on how to make a "lite" version of OpenBD. This may already exist. I just thought about it while crafting this email. :) This would be really useful for apps that say don't use a database. Having the database drivers in the lib folder are overkill to a "lite" app. So if there was something to say what each jar was for and which ones were safe to remove would be great! Well.....I think that is it for now! Thanks for all your great efforts! Very much appreciate over here!!
