Right - doing cfexecute and 7zip is an option. Although it will require an extra install on the client machines (long story - server actually handles load on 3-4 clients on a sub-net often offline from main Internet; means the adding extra software to install and configure can be a hassle when compared to a single server model).
I've seen a few references to Zip4J Java library. However, all the examples are in java and I'm not the strongest Java guy to just be able to translate those examples to CFML. Has anyone ever used that? Have any simple examples showing how to get up and running in CFML with a library like that? - Matthew On Apr 12, 1:36 am, "Hugo Ahlenius" <[email protected]> wrote: > How about just cfexecuting infozip (or other command-line tool, maybe 7zip > can do that as well?) > > -- > Hugo Ahlenius > [email protected] > > > > > > > > | -----Original Message----- > > | From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf > Of > | Matthew Reinbold > | Sent: Thursday, April 12, 2012 06:56 > | To: Open BlueDragon > | Subject: Generation of Password Protected Zips? > | > | Yes, I know that the core java.util.zip doesn't support creating or > | reading password protected zips - it's only been an enhancement > | request since 2000.
