Turning off case sensitivity would mean making it case INsensitive which I
wouldn't do. Of course I don't run Windows so it's not a choice I have to
make, and honestly I can count the times case sensitivity has actually
truly mattered on about one finger.

As for your app being "written with case sensitivity in mind" I have no
idea what that means from an actual practical perspective, but my guess is
very little. Your app though so it's of course your call, just make sure
going against the recommended Tomcat security settings matters enough to
how people use your app is the only recommendation I'd make.
