I replaced the /opt/openbdjam/jetty/lib/ext/ with the jar files from the openbd.war lib folder, but I was getting an error immediately when logging into openbd with the default password. (which is blank in my environment).
So for right now I'm going to give up on the openbdjam install and install mysql via yum then use viviotech's installer. From my point of view openbdjam is too difficult to use to get up and going.
