We have had the same issue it is an occasional but recurring problem with
mod_cfml not locating the correct context or it not starting up in time.

As this can reoccur and practically be difficult to test for as any
monitoring scripts for WWW will get a website back just not the right one I
would configure your hosts manually in production.

We are working on a solution with Jordan to this at present which uses a
filter rather than a tomcat valve and fires everything through the one host
rather than starting multiple contexts I will post to list when we have
this tested and the github link.
