I'm back to close this thread. It appears as though the original scheduled task (the one I set & removed via OpenBD admin) was cached somewhere. Removing it from the admin & restarting the application itself did not help. It was only after I restarted the Tomcat container that the 4 triggers of my ghost task went away and have not reappeared. The last trigger date was the 31st - and only the 1 new cron replacement fired this time.
