I'm dumb. 

Please post an example of how to invoke a wsdl web
service call, pass in some complex variables and retrieve the returned
structure - via CFHTTP instead of CFINVOKE. 

Even better, use a service
like StrikeIron as an example! 

And if the problem is with the
http-client library, then WHY would cfhttp work - while cfinvoke
wouldn't? Just curious.
