Good choice!  Just use Jordan's installer and setup a complete stack. Or if
you want to run the DB on a separate server you could use the Jetty
version...  More or less just unzip it, make sure you have Java installed
an you're up and running

File manipulations just differs in. \ to / and yes. U might have to set the
correct owner and acess rights on the folders depending on what you do with
your app.. But it's not that tricky and usually takes less time then a
reboot from the Blue screen :)
