What version of Tomcat are you trying to upgrade to? There are probably some config file changes that need to be adjusted as well, and that's what's borking your previous install.
The JDK upgrade should be similar in that you simply remove the old install, and drop in the new one. If the paths to the JVM change slightly, you should be able to update the openbd_ctl file with the correct paths and that should be all that's needed. Hope this helps! -Jordan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robert Whitton" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, November 13, 2014 7:21:39 PM Subject: [OpenBD] Upgrade JDK and Tomcat in Windows Installer? Aloha All, I usually use the Ready2Run bundle, but needed to run as a service on a Windows Server 2012. I used the VIvioTech Windows installed 2.0.x which I have used before. Right after install, I cut all the .jar files out of the openbd/lib folder and replace from the latest OpenBD nightly jar files. I have tried several times now to do the same thing with the openbd/tomcat/lib folder and end up ruining my install. So, is there a path to upgrade the Tomcat that OpenBD uses either in the OpenBD directory, or on the server? Is there a way to upgrade from the jdk (currently version 6.x) to a more recent one? The main reason to upgrade Tomcat is to get the CORS filter for cross platform requests. Any help is always appreciated.
