Absolutely right, it is the following:

U+FFFD � replacement character

Will test in other browsers to see if it continues but I have never seen it 
on facebook before in anyone else's posts so just wondering what they are 
sending instead of the £ symbol in their cfhttp push to the feed.

Will update when I find the answer.
