you need to restart the engine.  it has a handle to the open file.

I assumed that OpenBD would automatically create a new mail.log file, but it hasn't yet.

I've even had it fire off 2 or 3 emails for me. Nothing. So I created one myself, and gave it to tomcat6 as 777. It remains at zero bytes.

Am I missing something? Do I have to cycle the whole container just to get a new log file??
