Good evening all, and I hope you are all having a good weekend.
We've spent today moving things around here and redoing our build
scripts. Google as you may have heard, has shutdown Google Code and it
will be finally killed next January. We took this opportunity to have
a rethink on the future of the OpenBD project and what we wanted from it.
Matthew, Andy and myself had a discussion and we all agreed we would
move the whole code base over to GitHub. Especially in light of some
of the conversations this week.
This solves a number of problems, namely making it real easy for
everyone to contribute without any fuss or hassle. Whether you wish to
cut code, or contribute to the wiki or manual, now you can.
The main organization is here:
https://github.com/OpenBD
With lots of projects:
https://github.com/OpenBD/openbd-core
https://github.com/OpenBD/openbd-www
https://github.com/OpenBD/openbd-manual
https://github.com/OpenBD/openbd-journal
https://github.com/OpenBD/openbd-administrator
We have yet to update the main http://openbd.org/ site, but that is
happening tomorrow, so the nightly build will no longer update until
we've moved our scripts to work from GitHub.
Report any issues, against the right project, but for the vast majority,
I would wager you will be using:
https://github.com/OpenBD/openbd-core/issues
We're all excited at the future of OpenBD and the things we can ALL do
with it. So don't wait for the water to get warm, it already is, jump
in and start contributing.
thank you,
a
